A friend of mine had visited Georgia some years ago and I remember my first thoughts as I saw the mind blowing landscapes of the mountains on his photos. I immediately said, I want to visit this place. However this trip has been postponed over and over again for quite some time. Finally in 2022 when all COVID restrictions had been lifted, I finally decided to plan a trip to Georgia. This country may not be on everyone’s bucketlist and actually it may not be suitable for everyone. Although we visited ‘touristic’ places, tourism infrastructure may not be of the levels we are used to in Europe, road conditions are far from excellent and the standard of living is very low. On the other hand natural beauty abounds and food goes beyond any expectations.
