My name is Lenise and I am a travel photographer based in Zurrieq, Malta. Don’t worry if you do not know where that is; most of the people do not. It is a tiny island in the Mediterranean sea, around 90km south of Sicily. I just love taking photos and see the work of other photographers who inspire me. Photography started just as a hobby for me when I was just 16 years old. Back than I was just a student and I experimented and learned to take photos on my tiny island. Only a couple of years later, when I was 18 I started working and travelling. A whole new world had just opened for me! My passion for photography grew bigger and bigger and going around the world to ‘capture the moment’ became one of my main goals in life.

My Photography
I bought my first digital camera when I was 16 . It was an HP Photosmart M417 and I didn’t have any basic idea of photography. I just started to take pictures in ‘Auto’ mode, since this camera had no manual settings. I managed to take a couple of good pictures (in my opinion) as regards composition and subject choice, however I was well aware that its lens was not of good quality.
After a couple of years this camera broke down and I decided to go for a bridge camera. I opted for a Canon Powershot SX10 IS and I think I made a good choice since I was happy with its features. Then I began to read about exposure time, aperture value, ISO speed, composition rules, white balance etc. since I wanted to use every feature of the camera. I was not happy of just taking pictures in Auto mode, and when I started to take pictures in Manual mode I immediately noted the difference in the quality of my pictures. This is when I started to take my hobby more seriously and eventually bought a DSLR; a Nikon D5100.
As you can see from my portfolio my favourite subjects revolve around nature: wildlife and landscapes, especially mountains and seascapes. However I experiment also on other types of photography such as fireworks, food, portraits and night photography.

In 2014 I launched this website, following my first trip out of the continent, with the objective of displaying my work online. It also serves as a travel diary as I write every step of my journeys in my blog.
Now my posts are over 140 and cover different destinations around the globe: 40 countries in 4 different continents. I am in love with this planet and I hope that my photos convey my feelings toward the beauty of our home. You can easily check out all the places I visited in the Destinations section of this website.
Following all the feedback received, in 2019 I launched the Travel Planner service; whereby I help people who would like to travel independently yet need help with the planning.
My latest update which is revealing itself as the greatest success so far are my Travel Maps. I am pinning all the places I visit, including the photos I took on Google Maps. This is very time consuming, but buying your lifetime access to my maps will save you hours of trip planning especially if you are a passionate photographer.
