The beautiful paradise island of Barbados is what you need if you want to escape winter in the Northern hemisphere. Barbados has all the characteristics of a typical Caribbean island; white sandy beaches, turquoise seas and mouth-watering fresh fish and seafood. Although the island is quite small in size, you will be surprised that this island has more than just beaches to offer. There are several tropical gardens, home to colourful bird species as well as exotic plants and flowers. There are also underground caves to explore, as well as the less populated east coast to admire. Barbados is the perfect balance between relaxation and sightseeing.
